We are going to write a book. That’s WE, as in you and me — together. The book
is tentatively titled “The Lone Ranger, Tonto & Me.” The easiest way to describe it
kind of a Chicken Soup for the Lone Ranger Soul.
The purpose of the book is to get Lone Ranger fans to share their experiences with
the Lone Ranger and Tonto and the actors who played the parts. Over the years I
have heard many heartwarming tales of what the Lone Ranger means to people.
They tell stories of meeting Clayton Moore, Jay Silverheels or some of the other
actors. Even if you have not met the actors but had your life influenced by the
Lone Ranger, please share your story! I treasure these stories and know other
fans will too.
On top of that, contributors can honestly say they helped write a book — a Lone
Ranger book to boot! Not everyone who writes will be included, but most will. All you
need to do is write a short story about what the Lone Ranger means to you or about
your experience with a Lone Ranger actor. Let it flow from the heart. If you have a
picture of yourself with Clayton Moore (or other actors), please include it. This book
can’t happen without you! We would prefer electronic submissions, but snail mail
works as well. Please keep in mind that copies of photos should be sent and not
originals. We cannot guarantee their safe return (though we will try with a SASE).
Please send submissions to: Lone Ranger Book, c/o Lone Ranger Fan Club, PO Box
1742, Rosenberg, TX 77471 or e-mail lonerangerfanclub@sbcglobal.net.

Johnny Depp cast as Tonto in
the new Lone Ranger movie!
Johnny Depp has signed to play Tonto in the new Lone Ranger movie being
produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for Walt Disney Studios. He says Tonto
should be in charge and the Lone Ranger should be the fool. Click here

Correction to the
March 2010 issue of
The Silver Bullet:
Inside this issue is a
story about a woman
who is selling paintings
she claims are the last
surviving paintings that
George W. Trendle had
in his Los Angeles
office. According to
multiple sources, there
are several copies of
the paintings and
Trendle never had an
office in Los Angeles.
Major computer crash
I have suffered a major computer crash. I have lost everything, including all of my
e-mails, e-mail contacts, almost all of the submissions for the book, and all files
related to the Lone Ranger Fan Club and The Silver Bullet newsletter. It may be
some time before I can obtain a functional computer and rebuild everything from
backup discs. Please be patient with us. I will update this site and publish the
newsletter just as soon as possible. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Hi-Yo Silver,
Joe
